Cowboy Hats for All [Easter Egg] (Gears of War 2)
To achieve one of the more bizarre feats in the Gears of War saga, you first need to make sure you are set on Insane Difficulty. At the very beginning of Chapter 3 there are three cowboy hats in the environment around your rig that can be shot with your pistol. Facing the front of the rig, the first hat is behind you and to the right on the side of a cabin with a rustic barbwire trim. The 2nd hat is on the opposite side (the left side when facing the front of the rig) under the big-wheeled mobile cannon, between the wheels. The final hat is just past the second, on the same side, beneath the end of the 2nd fuel tank. Your reward for your sharpshooting will be cowboy hats: and lots of them. Everyone in your rig will suddenly resemble the cast of Hey Dude, a locust driving a rig that you must kill later will be sporting a fashionable ten-gallon, and even a massive Corpser will get rodeo fever down the road.
If you are not on Insane Difficulty, the hats will still be there, but will be invisible. You can still shoot them if you know their precise locations.
Harmless Shenanigans [Easter Egg] -[Gears of War 2 ]
"Kung Fu Flip"
Take cover behind anything you can jump over, such as a BoomShield or low wall. Quickly press Up + A, then press A again. Wait a split second, then press Down + A. It will look as if you flipped back into cover.
"Levitation"
Take cover behind any thing you can jump over, such as a BoomShield. Quickly press Up + A then quickly press A again. Was I floating there for a second?

While fighting the Guards, one of them drops a flamthrower. Use the flamethrower to complete the whole level and you unlock a Easter Egg.
GEARS OF WAR 2
If you drop a stun granade infront of you and turn your back to the lasers in security, the force of the stun will knock you past the lasers without getting KIA.
Lt. Minh Young Kim

The Cloistered Toaster [Easter Egg] *Gears of War 2*
In Act 4, Chapter 5 you will meet up with Dom again. Down the hallway a bit you will come across a room with columns and a staircase leading down. Between 2 thin columns is a short stone pedestal. Melee it and it will crumble. Inside you will find an out-of-place kitchen appliance. You can activate the toaster with X and witness humorous reactions from Marcus and Dom.
Meat Sheild Glitch
Ok in the game there's an achivment on wich a meat sheild saves your life like 30times or so. Its usaly challengin to get it BUT if you slap a exploding gernade*not ink or smoke*on the downed enemy then pick them up as a meat sheild the enemey will explode into tiny little ity bity bits AND you wont take ANY damage. Do this about 30 or so times and you get the achivement on wich a meat sheild saves your life 30times.
Insane Difficulty Trick -Gears of War 2
Start each chapter on Casual Difficulty after having unlocked Insane Difficulty. Now, before reaching the final checkpoint on any given chapter, switch the difficulty over from Casual to Insane. Now, finish the chapter. The game will record that you’ve completed that particular chapter on Insane Difficulty, even though you played a vast majority of the chapter on Casual Difficulty.
Flamethrower while down Gears of War 2
If you keep holding down the shoot button with a flamethrower, when you go down you will keep shooting
Cowboy hats Gears of War 2
There are(amazingly)cowboy hats in gears of war 2,to get them,just pick the insane difficulty and choose the chapter where you meet the crazy guy with the cowboy hat.When you are on top of the huge thing that will move later,look at that shack,in between the wall and the pole(inside the shack)you should see a cowboy hat,to get it just shoot at it(it is hard)you will know that you have hit it when marcus says"That's one."Now when you move you should see a huge truck with huge wheels,the second hat is behind the Top-Left-front wheel,shoot it-"That's two".Now the last one is a tricky shot but stay calm,the last hat is behind the large propain tank but like I said It is a hard and tricky shot."That's three".if you hit it,marcus and everyone else will have a hat.Now when the locust come at you THey will have hats to!And the huge spider thing will have a 10,000 pound hat and he'll be saying Yee-haw!Everyone in the area has hats,but sadly the hats don't last and they're not available in multiplayer.
Meatflag's Stats [Easter Egg] Gears of War 2
Location: At the end of a round of Submission, press Y to view the game's stats. The Meatflag (A winner is Franklin!) will have a fake Gamercard for their name. You can read up on their stats and Achievements.
Barrier Breaker Glitch Gears of War 2
For this glitch you cant be host
1. Shoot some bullets with your lancer
2. Side mount
3. Go in to cover and press B
4. Go in to cover and go aroud cover and press B
5. Go in to cover and out of cover
if done right when you press B your chainsaw wont rev
6. Go to any jump over and hold B
7. Go in to cover and still hold B
8. Jump over the cover and right before you hit the groud let go of B
you should be levatating on top of somthing
9. Hold B jump down right before touching the groud let of B and roll back
you should be out the map
Easy way to get through 50 waves of horde
Ok its simple but first you will have to do it with a buddie. Go to the level "Hail" and near the stairs going down to the road part there is a train cart (it will be next to the one that has an opening, this particular cart has no opening so jump in through the side). Once in there you and your friend playing with you will be able to take down all enemies with minimal health damage. A few key tricks with this is
1- at the end of each round pick up emmo and aslo pick up granades and plant them: on the stairs, on th open cart, and on the wall nxt to the stairs.
2- if your getting shot,duck! dont stay up you will only die.
Dont get me wrong you will not ease through each wave you will die occaionaly but it makes it a hell of a lot easier then any other level. Make sure you and your buddie are always talking coz they will come from every angel and may suprise you.

Easy Kills
Beast Riders- They tend to be lethal at close range, so it is a good idea to use grenades, but never stick them, either use them as mines or throw from far range. Also if you have a mulcher or shotgun, they are good too. If you have explosives they are the best like boomshot or torque bow
Boomers- in this game it only takes one shot to the head with a sniper rifle, so aim for the head.
Butcher- see Boomers
Grinders- see Boomers, but stay at long range
Maulers- see Grinders
Brumaks- Almost every time you battle them you have a special weapon like the troika or the mortar
Corpsers- You barley get any encounters, so same as the first game, shoot the stomach, then the neck
Kantus- These ones have a trick to them. Full Automatic guns don't work so you need one-shot guns like boomshots, torque bows, sniper rifles, ect.
Reaver- Do not attempt to hide in cover, they will spear you no matter where you are, so it is best to get under their belly where there is no guns and open fire.
Skorge- As all you know, just chainsaw the dude's staff until his hydra comes
Sires- these guys are a pain in the rear, so just chainsaw them, there's nothing to it, generally they won't group up on you so chainsaw them, if the do, stick em' with a grenade and roll away.
Flame Grenadiers & Boomers- These ones everyone knows, but I'm putting it up here, all you got to do is shoot their Imulsion Tanks and they explode as if a grenade were stuck to them.
Nemacyte- I'm not talking about nemacysts, the flying kamikazes, I'm talking about the creatures inside the Riftworm. They're as easy as killing a wretch, just save your ammo and melee them.

Online tips (Gears of War 2)
Make good use of the meat shield.Plus if you had a grenade in your inventory and you are down,look around you,if you see someone coming to kill you,tag him with your grenade,now He is dead.And (you need a shotgun for this) give him the old one-two melee combo,one a melee to the face,and two a shotgun blast,this always kills someone.
Wall bombs (Gears of War 2)
Get a greande and smack it into the wall and shoot hordes and wait for one of the big ones to get close and detanate the greande and if it hits it kill it

Ten Player Horde, custom weapons, optional friendly fire and adjustable bleed-out time.
For Gears of War 2
Note: You can't select starting wave or difficulty after the glitch. (To pick difficulty: Start a new campaign and
select desired difficulty, skip to your first checkpoint, then exit and continue.)
1. Set multiplayer to custom Annex.
2. Go back to the main menu and move the selection to Horde.
3. Open the Xbox friends pane and find any joinable person playing.
4. In their profile select "Join session in progress". (Alternately you can have a friend send you invites.)
5. The moment the pane goes away, quickly press "A".
6. If timed right, you will be at a glitched Annex menu with only your name flashing orange. You will see a
message saying that there are too many players.
7. Change the game type to Horde.
8. Go back to the main menu and select horde once again. You will get the Ten player Horde menu!
9. You can adjust weapons, friendly fire and bleed-out time. (Friendly fire will effect the Locusts as well!)
10. You MUST start the game with only yourself in the lobby, and invite players after the game has started.
Extended notes:
(1) If you DO start the game with people in your lobby. Half of them will be ghost Locusts. They will be able to
watch from the horde point of view, similar to beast mode in Gears 3, but NOT play. The big problem is that
when the number of the remaining horde reaches the same as the number of spectating Locusts, they will be
null. You will be unable to proceed further than wave one.
(2) Since the Horde changes behavior and begins to rush when their number is equal to the number of remaining
Cogs, they will rush quite sooner than you'd normally expect if you have ten players.
(3) We were unable to hammer down whether or not everyone could always hear each other in game. A simple
solution to that is to have an Xbox party going. This also makes it easy for the host to invite everyone into the
game after he or she starts it. Sadly there is a limit of eight, possibly leaving two players out of the loop.
(4) During game play when the action is really up, you may notice some reduction of frame-rate. That is to be
expected since it's your Xbox calculating all the players movements, Locust Horde activity and assorted weapons
of mass destruction!
(5) Other than the conditions mentioned above, the glitch is surprisingly solid. The custom horde menu survives
even if you switch to some other mode. When you come back and select custom horde, there it will be.

Horde Mode Shield Placement *Gears of War 2*
*** The 1/20/2009 update disables this action.
If you are playing Horde mode on a level with a Boom Shield, you can use it to block off a choke point to make the onslaught easier to manage - but it has to be planted backwards or else the Locust will merely stomp over it. As long as the Boom Shield's handle is facing away from you, they'll be stopped. You must replace the Shield after every wave.
Kantus (Gears of War 2)
Description: To unlock Kantus for use in multiplayer, complete Act 2 in single-player mode on any difficulty.
Eleven Executions (Gears of War 2)
Description: Apart from the 15 weapon kills (all of them are in the manual, aside from the Troika and Boomshield), the unique executions are probably the hardest things to figure out. You must have an opponent on the ground and crawling to do these executions. Luckily, you can do them on any mode (campaign, horde, multiplayer, etc.). Anyway, there they are:
