Superstar Player (NHL 07) Start with any team in Dynasty mode. After the 1st year when selecting free agents, choose a player named S. Whitaker. He is 16 years old and has 99 potential. He starts off with 82 overall but by the time he is 18, he will be a superstar with 99 overall.

It depends on what manager role you picked at the beginning. But, basically you need to take you "trust meter" to the next level to be able to get another level of stars. You can increase your "trust meter" by winning games.
