Starting with a Flame to get a Head Start When you are waiting for the signal that lets you go, if you are not in drag or drift mode, hold the throttle so it starts edgeing up on the RPMs. After it gets to a certain point, you will see a flame come out of the exaust. The flame signals that you have reached what would be a perfect shift. If you start off around where the flame is, but as soon as it lets you go, hold the throttle as far in as you can, and you should get a head start.
Unlimited NOS From main menu press A, B, Y, Y, A, A, B to get Unlimited NOS.
Unlock 10 New Rides -Need for Speed Underground If you get up to 4 million style points, you will unlock 10 different cars including: Nism Nissan Sentra, Acura Integra Type-R, Petey Pablos car, Samanthas car, Rob Zombies car, Mystikals car, Lostprophets Nissan Skyline, Junkman's Honda Civic, Melissas Nissan 350Z, Eddies Nissan Skyline and a few more if you continue on to 5 million style points. The best way to get style points quickly, is to do a quick race drift. You will rack up points very quickly. Youll get everyones car from the rankings list.
Easy style points After you unlock the oval drift track, go into "Quick Race" and choose that track. Then, race around it using the handbrake to powerslide into the corners. Depending on how good you are, you will unlock rewards every time you fill your
meter, which does not take too long. Go to quick race mode and choose any circuit. Set it to five laps with maximum cars on. Then, just get near misses in a row to get a large amount of points. Once your reputation goes up you can make 20,000 points in one go around.
Rim Change Need for Speed Underground If you like a certain set of rims but it is too large for your current car, you can fit the rims on a correct car (any one will do) and trade it in for the car you want. Once you do though, do not attempt to adjust the rims or they will not be placed back on your car. For example, the Miata can only fit 17s, but if you get a car like the Skyline put 20s on it you can then trade the Skyline for the Miata and the Miata will now have the 20s that the Skyline originally had.
Get a Monster truck-[Need for Speed Underground ] Start a drag race. Before you get the signal to go press Y, X[x2], and R[x3]. You should begin your race with a monster truck!
Ultimate Speed At the race hold L and press A 4 times and you will take off at gear 2.

Atlanta Pimping Create a Profile with the Name DIRTY and customize a Honda Civic how ever you like it and store the car. Exit the customize car option and hold Select for 10 seconds (May take Longer). The song "Get Low" by Lil Jon should come on and you will be able to race against him, T.I., Ludacris,Bone Crusher, TrillVille, Young Bloodz,and Pastor Troy in the Underground Mode.
Unlock All Sprint Tracks On the main menu, press UP, BLACK, BLACK, BLACK, R, DOWN, DOWN, DOWN.
Points for 360 in Drift Need for Speed Underground When you are in drift mode you can get some extra points for doing doughnuts. Hold one direction and the handbrake and gas and let go of the handbrake after a second.
Eddie's: Nissan Skyline To unlock Eddie's car in the end, keep winning style points. Note: It is faster to win them in drift. When your style meter maxes out, a message stating that you have won Eddie's Nissan Skyline will appear.
Shoot Smoke From Nitrous To make nitrous shoot out smoke, put your car in neutral, or at the beginning of the race press Nitrous.
Money Trick Play through Underground Mode as you would usually do, unlocking a good amount of cars and performance parts. This is just your initial investment (or 'seed money') for the trick. Save the game. Then buy and modify the VW Golf to the maximum and trade it in for the Honda S2000 for a gain of about $1500. Take the Honda to the garage and demodify it (strip the parts) and trade the Honda for a Skyline (and a loss of about $3000). With the Skyline, you can now trade for the VW Golf for a gain of about $10,000. You can repeat this car laundering until you have enough cash for your dream machine.
Shortcuts(Need for Speed Underground) Look for alternate routes on your in-game map while driving. These can get you ahead of an opponent easily or shave off seconds on your timer. They will look like another road on the map, but sometimes are narrower. Most of the time these shortcuts will be hard to see or take, and can be extremely risky. At the beginning of the races that take place in front of the prison Samantha told you to race to for a reward, when the race starts, crash in the gate of the prison. It is an underground shortcut. Note: This only works after the race in which
Samantha tells you to race to the prison in time for a reward.
Easier starts from crashes Once you crash in a high gear (especially when you are driving stick) it takes precious seconds to shift to one. Instead, after crashing, tap the reverse, then give it full throttle. After going into reverse, the computer automatically shifts you from any gear back to one.
Easier drag wins -Need for Speed Underground To get to higher gears quicker in drag races, tap L repeatedly as needed to increase the RPM to the appropriate level to switch the gear. This also lessens the full force of the nitrous to lower the chance of burning the engine out.
